Yesterday Apple confirmed lower production capacity for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max due to the
ongoing COVID-19 lockdown in Zhengzhou, China. Now Bloomberg News reports, production of the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus fell by 3 million units to 87 million units compared to the initial target of 90 million units. The report cites people familiar with the matter.Previous reports indicated that the iPhone 14 Plus got off to a very bad start with Apple reaching out to
supplier partners to stop production of the more affordable large-screen iPhones. The regular iPhone 14 also didn't perform as well as Apple had hoped according to a recent report with slowing demand in some markets with declines recorded in China.
